worker's stance

i had the task to create a gift for c-mine museum in genk. genk's evolution is the perfect example for western socio-economic development. it was a mining town and immediately transitioned into a car manufacturer. after that it became a logistic center. all stages of our development were abruptly and clearly achieved. i wanted to focus on those transitions and decided to do a movement analysis of mine workers. the same people who worked underground and then in the factories. to capture these movements and highlight the working identity of the social structure, i built constraints out of spinnaker fabric. i made manuals with instructions on how to wear them and printed them onto the garments.
